Tron 2: Legacy
By
With my current problem in work and in the family, sometimes I just need to stop listening to the bad news and the stress. Sometimes I just need to cheer up, finish my daily quota of coffee or have a healthy sex with some hot SNSD chick. But sometimes we don’t really have the time to go out of the workplace and the good news can only be brought right in front of our fucking email and newsletters. I am so tired of looking in front of this monitor for like 3 months – 15 hours a day. I’m writing this as a way to unwind from my troubles and to share some really awesome news.
So, a few weeks ago, the world was awed with the new teaser trailer of Tron 2 Legacy. Well what exactly is Tron and where was the first one? Taken from wiki (stripped off some TL;DRs for your convenience):
Tron is a 1982 American action science fiction film by Walt Disney Pictures. Tron has a distinctive visual style, as it was one of the first films from a major studio to use computer graphics extensively. Decades after it first came out, it spawned a franchise consisting of sequel films, videogames, comics and a planned television series.
To put things short, this is what Tron looked like back in 1982 with the Lightcycle in highlight:
Well as you can see, it does look like some cheap-ass Quake 1 rendering but this was back when computer graphics was in its infancy. This is what Transformers, Avatar or District 9 was made of and this is MUCH COOLER than Michael Bay’s work. The graphics may look cheesy but there’s one thing this movie never lacked: A Cyberpunk theme that did an significant strike in Pop Culture. Now this is what Tron 2 looks like:

Man, someday I'll be driving one of these in the freeway
Here’s a link on the very first trailer which I can’t embed because the author was a dick: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1AwvuirSEAA&feature=related
Now why am I crazed on this Tron fad? You might say “WELL YOU WEREN’T BORN IN THE 80′s, WHY ARE YOU BEING SO OLD?”. Well its because I have some cyber-genetically altered erections when it comes to cyberpunk themes and neon lights that made the 80′s. I admit I haven’t watched the first Tron but I will watch it when I have the time.

Daft Punk? In my Tron 2 Musical Score? OMG!!!
Another thing why I love tron is that Daft Punk is doing the musical score and will also be having a cameo appearance. The cameo appearance may sound stupid because I have no clue how Daft Punk’s existence in the movie will be canon but let’s see where that goes. Daft Punk’s Digital Perspective totally fits the concept of Tron like a jigsaw puzzle and it will surely be great.
Along with Alice in Wonderland’s release, a new Teaser Trailer for Tron 2 was released which reveals a lot of the movie. Drools, awe and anticipations are welcome
One last thing that I love about Tron 2 is that, IT’S GOING TO BE AN AWESOME BIRTHDAY GIFT. It will be on theaters at December 17, 2010 and my birthday is in December 18, 2010.
Now to stop dishing out my broken English grammar because I’m really sleepy while writing this and I can’t think damn straight, I am concluding this post with joy and awe.
PS: Because of inconsistencies with this blog on Google Chrome, I have resized the images to smaller ones. Next time, I’m going to resize the images manually to its optimum resolutions.
